Call for Sponsorship and Donations
What we're asking for:
- R30 000/month to keep the club going - Sponsorship and donations help us maintain weekly practices and matches, coaching, transport, equipment, uniforms, boots,
workshops and camps
- A bus to transport all the kids safely - R500 000

Donate R500/month to sponsor a player. This donation includes weekly practices and matches, coaching, transport, equipment, uniforms, boots, workshops and camps for one Youth Star.

Empowering Rural Youth
Through Soccer
In our mission to uplift rural youth, the Young Hopes Soccer Club plays a vital role in developing talent and encouraging healthy lifestyles. This club offers a safe and nurturing environment where young athletes from Kraaibosch, Farleigh, Barrington, and Elandskraal can enhance their skills, build confidence, friendships and cultivate teamwork.
Club Growth and Community Impact
Founded in July 2025, Young Hopes F.C. swiftly evolved, relocating from our initial small hub on a local farm in Kraaibosch to a nearby school, enabling us to include youth from Farleigh, Barrington and Elandskraal. Currently, we empower approximately 40 boys within a 16 km radius.
Through a community raffle, we successfully raised R16,000, which allowed us to purchase team uniforms and boots. We also fundraised R8000 to hold a weekend one year anniversary camp for the team.
Practice, Matches and Future Aspirations
The team practices or competes in matches every Saturday, and we aim to broaden our reach and improve opportunities for our players by entering the local league. To achieve this, we need to enhance our transportation capabilities.
Presently, we have two dedicated drivers and two bakkies that generously provide their time and diesel to transport the boys each Saturday. However, this arrangement is not sustainable, especially as competing in the league will demand more distance and time.
Our long-term aspiration is to raise funds for a bus - this will enable the club to be autonomous with one driver, to have more practices and matches, transport the team to training camps, as well as enter the team into the league, allowing us to take our players to national and international levels.
In the short term, we seek sponsorship with a fundraising goal of R30,000 per month to cover transportation costs, equipment and uniform expenses, while also compensating our coaches and admin team for their invaluable time.

Young Hopes F.C provides rural youth from Kraaibsosch, Farliegh and Elandskraal, in Knysna Rural - areas that are rife with systemic alcolism, violence and limited opportunities. Young Hopes F.C provides a safe and supportive environment every Saturday for the boys, aged 5 to 19, to do their favourite thing - play soccer. Concurrently creating a space for their families to enjoy socialising on the weekend too.
With dedicated coaches and a focus on teamwork, we aim to develop skills, and foster camaraderie among players, grounded in a strong value system of respect, strength, courage, kindess and compassion. Our goal is to create a supportive environment that encourages healthy lifestyles, opens up opportunites and creates a space for community involvement for all participants.
We believe that by engaging in sports, these young individuals not only hone their athletic abilities but also build essential life skills that will benefit them in the future. Our club emphasizes the importance of education alongside sports, ensuring that our players understand the value of hard work both on and off the field.
Throughout the year, Young Hopes F.C organizes various events, including creative and educational workshops and ecological excursions, to give the team and their peers new experiences, broaden horizons and instill a sense of social responsibility and pride in the youth. By participating in these activities, the players learn the importance of giving back to their community and the impact they can have as role models.
We are proud of the progress and achievements our team has made in such a short period. From the first kick-off to hosting our inaugural tournament and one year anniversary camp, Young Hopes F.C has become a beacon of hope and a source of pride for the communities we serve. Our vision is to expand our outreach and continue making a positive difference in the lives of rural youth, one game at a time.
